WATERFORD, CT — Two people were trapped in a vehicle and had to be rescued by Waterford firefighters and EMS personnel Tuesday following a crash on the Boston Post Road, according to fire union officials. The crash occurred in the 300 block of the road, and injuries "appeared to be minor," officials said in a post on the union's Twitter page. Motorists were urged to avoid the area between Stoneheights Drive and Fog Plain Road as crews worked to free the occupants. Waterford Fire and EMS units working a motor vehicle accident with two trapped in the area of #322 Boston Post Road. Injuries appear to be minor.
