ROYAL OAK, MI — Despite pushback from residents, Royal Oak city officials approved licenses for three marijuana businesses during a Monday night City Commission meeting, paving the way for the dispensaries to be built, according to a report by WDIV. Residents mainly voiced opposition to the proposed pot locations on Harrison Street and one proposed for an industrial area, which would sit 88 feet away from a vocational high school, according to the report. "The dispensary is not a good fit for a residential area," one woman said during the meeting, the report said. A marijuana dispensary was also proposed for Woodward Avenue, but that one didn't get much push back during the meeting, the report said. Read more concerned residents at WDIV
