Description
Last Wednesday (the 20th) you brought a large, glossy black cat to the animal shelter on Vanowen. They took him in "over the counter" and classified him as a stray. Maybe you found him on the street?
He was very clean, though -- heavy, healthy, and well-fed -- so it would seem that he hadn't been outside for long. Maybe you were an owner who couldn't keep him any longer, or attending to the affairs of someone who had been?
Whoever you are, I thought maybe you might want to know what happened to him.
I saw him when I visited the shelter on Friday. He beeped at me and put his paw out of the cage so I would come down for touches and a chat. I took some pictures and looked at them over and over for a day and a half.
I came again first thing Sunday morning to adopt him the moment he became available. He complained on the ride home, and hid behind the clothes in my closet for a while, but by Monday night he was curled up on my bed like a lil dog.
He's got a forever home now, one with good food, lots of hiding spots and places to explore, windows to watch birds from, rugs to sprawl out on, and an unlimited supply of ear scratches, noggin bumps, and naps snugged up next to daddy. (He's got a new step-sister too, but he hasn't met her yet because these things take time if you wanna do them right.) And whenever he needs to go to the vet, he'll get to.
I'm sorry you weren't able to keep him; that must have been hard, because he's really great, and it's easy to tell that whoever raised him gave him lots of love.
I am thankful that he's mine now, though.
