WATERFORD, CT — Police are asking anyone in the public who has information on a 2012 homicide to come forward. Police said in a statement that on Dec. 21, 2012, Kyle Seidel, 34, was shot and subsequently died of his injuries. While the circumstances around the shooting are unknown, police are asking the public to recall events they may have witnessed around 8 p.m. that evening in the area of the Family Bowl on Boston Post Road in Waterford. Seidel, a husband and father of three, was on his way to the Lucky Inn Chinese restaurant to pick up dinner for his family when he was shot in the bowling alley parking lot. The case has been ruled a homicide. In February 2014 Gov. Dannel P. Malloy authorized a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case. The case is being investigated by the Waterford Police Department and the Cold Case Unit. If you have any information on this case, please call the Waterford Police Department tip line at 860-437-8080 or call the Waterford detectives directly at 860-442-0645. You may remain anonymous.
