We are a family-owned, customer-first lighting company that empowers employees to become experts in chosen facets of lighting design. Bringing holiday and event lighting to San Diego and beyond with fair pricing, fair pay, and a work / life balance, San Diego SociaLights is looking for more people to add to the team! We are in a unique niche industry, with plenty of opportunities to learn about lighting and the event industry. The owner/operators have been in the lighting industry for 15 years and have a lot of knowledge to pass on. We have a close-knit team who helps each other cover shifts and allow for requested time off. Looking for: General laborer with electrical experience. Tasks & responsibilities: Loading up vans with poles, bases, weights, lights, ladders, etc Drive to event sites Set up market lights at event venues and private residences Wiring up light displays Planning wiring/electrical configuration on-site Power distribution to other vendors Work with a generator Set up Christmas lights on residential houses (during holiday season) Set up Christmas displays on commercial buildings (during holiday season) Job requirements: Cannot be afraid of heights Comfortable with heavy lifting / manual labor Must be okay working outdoors Electrical background (the type of person who would fix the outlet in their home without calling an electrician) Must speak english Must have valid driver’s license Must be legally allowed to work in the US Must have bank account for direct deposit The ideal candidate is: A person that works with their hands and can solve problems A labor/tradesman with background/knowledge and experience with electrical & electricity A team-oriented person A go-getter Someone with initiative to do a good job without micromanagement Physically fit and okay with heavy lifting Shift information: Opportunities for work every day of the week. Up to 5 shifts per week. Must work weekends. Major holidays off. Wage information: Hourly Overtime pay opportunities available (1.5x and 2x, depending) Training pay @ hire rate for required OSHA 10-hour training Tips during Christmas season Holiday bonuses Team members can gross a consistent $600-800 per week!
