GARDEN CITY, NY — A new, large Whole Foods may be coming to Garden City, according to reports. According to Newsday, the grocery chain is planning on opening a new 53,000-square-foot store in the village, which is much larger than other Whole Foods stores in the area. The store, at 897 E. Gate Boulevard, is being built on the site of a former Pepsi bottling plant, Newsday reported, and is scheduled to open later this year. Whole Foods did not respond when Patch asked for comment.
