Job description BA Services Inc is looking for a Level 1 Water Quality Certified individual to become a Area Manager for the Rest Areas in Utah. We offer benefits, a company vehicle, a company phone, compter, printer etc. You will be required to travel quite a bit. The Area Manager will oversee all day to day operations of the Rest Areas and coordinate directly on items of interest with the UDOT Project Manager. The Contractor Project Manager will act as the main point of contact for all issues related to the Rest Areas. The roles and responsibilities of the Area Manager include but are not limited to: 1. Providing the necessary resources needed to meet the contract requirements 2. All invoices and work orders are reviewed before being submitted to UDOT Project Manager for final approval 3. All HR issues are addressed with Rest Area staff. 4. Ensure that regularly scheduled meetings are held with UDOT to discuss and review issues and concerns regarding the Rest Areas. 5. Verify that all required employees of the contractor have the appropriate certifications and licenses at all times and are being kept current. 6. The Preventive Maintenance plan is being kept up to date and is accessible at all times to the UDOT Project Manager. 7. All major items of work have been properly scoped, scheduled, and received necessary approval from UDOT before proceeding. 8. In addition the Tech/Area Manager must be Level 1 Water Quality Certified within 60 days of contract execution and must stay up to date with all DDW requirements, acting on behalf of UDOT in coordination with DDW to ensure all deficiencies are addressed in a timely manner. 9. The Area Manager will keep an up to date spreadsheet of all UDOT owned water systems and keep detailed the current status and will report on any issues to the Project Manager and DDW. 10. The Area Manager will be responsible to respond to concerns and complaints as received from UDOT staff and the public and communicate with the Project Manager Area Managers to ensure the issues are resolved.
