PEABODY, MA — A Peabody man pleaded guided on Tuesday to his role in 15 convenience store robberies in six communities along the North Shore, including Peabody, according to the FBI's Boston office.
The FBI said Luis Cintron, 41, was involved with armed robberies in East Boston, Chelsea, Lynn, Winthrop, Peabody and Everett from 2017 to 2018. He pleaded guilty to 14 counts of interfering with commerce by robbery and conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery, as well as cocaine possession of more than 28 grams with intent to distribute.
The FBI said two masked men were involved with all of the robberies with one in January 2018 including shots fired at a clerk who followed the suspects out of the store.
Each robbery charge could carry a sentence of up to 20 years, three years of supervised release and a fine of $250,000. The cocaine possession with intent to sell charge of more than 28 grams includes a mandatory sentence of 10 years to life in prison with a fine of up to $8 million.
Sentencing is scheduled for March 12, 2021.
