Castle Hill Inn is looking for a Grounds & Landscaping Attendant to join the team. Nestled on 40 acres overlooking the southwestern corner of Narragansett Bay, Castle Hill Inn – a Relais & Chateaux hotel – is a coastal haven where guests come to relax and rejuvenate against a spectacular New England backdrop, a location that is second to none. The property features guest rooms that are perched on the sand dunes of our private beach, a banquet facility, and two restaurants featuring the talents of the culinary team. About the POSITION: In the Grounds & Landscaping Attendant role you will assist with the horticulture program at Castle Hill including harvest gardens, bedding plants, and ornamental shrub beds. This is a seasonal, part-time position. About YOU: You are skilled in project management and able to work as part of a team. Essential Duties • Assists harvest garden, greenhouse, and bedding plant areas, ensuring that the plants and collections are healthy and that the garden is safe and attractive. • Performs and supports horticultural practices (watering, seeding, harvesting, and weeding) that encourage overall plant health and soil nutrition, to include sustainable gardening and integrated pest management practices • Maintains horticultural tools and equipment • Assists with container plantings and specialty gardens • Assist culinary team with planning, locating seeds, and planting rotational • Plant and harvest consistent supply of microgreens and edible flowers, utilizing greenhouse in colder months. • Assists culinary team in maintaining a composting program.
