Description

PEABODY - Christopher Ortins was a thriving 24-year-old engineer at Raytheon when his life unexpectedly changed forever. In December 2019, he suffered a tragic cardiac arrest due to complications from dialysis. He has had lengthy admission at Massachusetts General Hospital, Spaulding Rehab, and now Tewksbury State Hospital. He is currently working on his neurological recovery with plans to hopefully return home. Family and friends in the area have organized the Chris Ortins Raffle Calendar Fundraiser, which will help to cover costs associated with his treatment and recovery. Just three days into the fundraiser, organizers said that the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Participants of the raffle have 30 chances to win various items donated by other community members and small businesses. Those interested in purchasing a raffle ticket can email [email protected] for copies. The bottom green stub must be returned with payment to Erin Klemczuk at 83 Lynn Street in Peabody by October 30, 2020. Organizers are accepting payment by cash, check or Venmo (@Connie-Ortins). Checks should be made payable to Connie Ortins. Questions can be directed to [email protected]. Participants can also log onto the "Chris Ortins Fundraiser" Facebook group to watch prizes pulled live.
