Forming a supergroup

Description

Hey everybody, I’m looking to form a big band of skilled musicians for 90% originals. There’s a lot I want to say, but I’ll try to keep the post short and save the details for when we chat. The sound will be varied. Smokey bowling alley classic rock: think Mick Taylor-era stones plus Tattoo You. In the Long Run-era Eagles. Joe Walsh. Mark Knopfler solo stuff. A lot of the songs will feature modal jams. I’m looking for musicians who understand the weight of their instrument and are willing to serve the song. For example: you might play a shaker in a song if that’s what the song needs. I don’t care if you don’t consider yourself a singer. You are in this band. Everybody’s singing. I’m not that great, but by the time we gig we’ll all be good. I’m looking for people who want to take time with songs mapping vocal harmonies out. Looking for: A second guitarist to switch between rhythm and lead Bass Drums Keyboard Horns Percussion I have a practice spot in Fayetteville with a drum kit, bass rig, and PA. I have a few songs ready to showcase, but for the most part this is a startup and will require patience. I have high standards and hopes for the music. As far as aspirations, I’m somewhere between weekend warrior and desiring to be regionally popular. I’d like to practice twice a week and play a couple shows a month. Be a George’s filler. I look forward to hearing from you all.
