Police ID Teen Gunned Down In Hempstead

HEMPSTEAD, NY — Nassau County police have identified the 17-year-old who was gunned down in Hempstead Monday night. Police have identified the victim as Omarion Jackson, 17, of Hempstead. According to police, Hempstead Police officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation in front of a home on Dartmouth Street at 9:30 p.m. When they arrived, they found Jackson with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died from his wounds. Police ask anyone with information about this murder to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
