Come to 7101 S. Kostner Ave. Bring gloves and lunch. Warehouse is not temp controlled, dress accordingly. $16 an hour pay What Is a Lumper? The duties of a lumper include unloading a truck when it arrives at the warehouse dock. Occasionally in this job, you assist drivers in unloading, or you may work with a team of warehouse personnel to complete the process more quickly. Educational qualifications usually include a high school degree or the equivalent. However, the primary qualification is physical skill and endurance. You must be able to lift heavy loads manually. Lumpers work in the warehouse, manually lifting and moving product cases using a variety of equipment and at different temperatures. WAREHOUSE IS NOT TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED Responsibilities: Palletize product (stack on pallets) according to weight and product type Re-throw pallets when product is damaged Breakdown and separate pallets when they are too high or of mixed product type Run palletized product into freezer or cooler for storage Additional duties as assigned Physical stamina –this position requires strong physical endurance, as warehouse loaders are on their feet throughout the day bending, stooping, and lifting to 75 pounds.
