Norwood Slows Reopening After 3rd Week Of High Risk Designation

NORWOOD, MA — After three consecutive weeks being deemed a "high risk" community for COVID-19, Norwood is transitioning back to step one of the Phase 3 reopening plan. Norwood had a total of 754 COVID-19 cases as of Oct. 29. The state deems any community with more than eight cases per 100,000 residents a "red zone" or high risk. Going back to step one of Phase 3 means closing indoor theaters, roller skating rinks and obstacle courses. Restaurants are still allowed to have music performances indoors but no wind or brass instruments or singing is allowed. Gyms will be limited to 40 percent capacity as well as libraries, museums and arcades.
