An engaging evening with GMRI Municipal Climate Action Program Manager, Gayle Bowness, featuring a performance by Halcyon String Quartet. GMRI's Municipal Climate Action Program Manager, Gayle Bowness, will join mid-coast-based string quartet, Halcyon, for a dive into sea-level rise and the impact on coastal and island communities. Halcyon works to cultivate environmental stewardship through music and the arts. Halcyon's immersive performance, featuring live music, watercolor works by fellow series guest speaker, Jill Pelto, and film by artist Luke Fatora, will set the stage for a look into the impacts of sea-level rise the communities of Vinalhaven, North Haven, and Rockland are already grappling with and what they are doing to build resilience.
