An interactive event featuring GMRI Ocean Data Products Program Manager, Riley Young Morse, and Maine artist and scientist, Jill Pelto Riley Young-Morse, Senior Program Manager for Ocean Data Products will be joined by Local Maine artist and scientist, Jill Pelto, for an interactive exploration of making meaning from data. Both Riley and Jill find ways to take complex, large-scale data sets and distill them into concise moments of visual impact. We'll engage in a unique dialouge around the process of making meaning from data, understanding trends, and visualizing the future. Participants will have the opportunity to create their own data-driven piece of art!
