Think "lager" means pale, fizzy, mass-marketed, bland beer? Think again! Join us and see there's much more to the world of lager than that! When you hear the word "lager" chances are you picture the typical fizzy, yellow, mass-market adjunct lagers of the domestic brewing behemoths. But there's much more to the world of lager than that! While focusing on the German lager brewing tradition, this class will explore the wide range of beers that fall under the lager umbrella. Whether it is the refreshing crispness of German Pilsner, the toasted malt character of Marzen, the thick malty sweetness of Doppelbock, the campfire smoke of Rauchbier, or the smooth roastiness of a Schwarzbier - lagers come in all colors, flavors, and strengths.  Tickets are $25 and includes educational presentation and beer tasting. Participants must be 21+ years of age. Class is led by Kelly Pickard, Certified Cicerone.
