NORWOOD, MA — Kristin Capezio, a Norwood photographer, has her work showcased in a solo exhibition at the T. Ross Kelly Family gallery in the Watertown Free Public Library. The exhibition will run for one month and reflects Capezio's travels to Suzhou, Shanghai, and Beijing, China. She has been an amateur photographer for the last 10 years. Capezio is a member of the Norwood Art Association and Town of Norwood Conservation Commission. She is an avid lover of nature and is heavily invested in the art of photography which brings to life the importance of symbiotic relationships in the natural world. Her photography is frequently achieved through a macro lens which allows her to highlight the intricacies of what often goes unseen. The T. Ross Kelly Family gallery is open to all but you need to submit a proposal for review before selection. "I think I may have submitted a proposal in early 2019. It wasn't until the proposal was accepted that I learned the gallery was booked until early 2020," Capezio said. The gallery also offers a glass display case is an opportunity for individuals to showcase any 3D work that supports their 2D art. This can be useful for artists who want to submit together and showcase in collaboration. Information on where to apply can be found in the link below. If you have any interest in reaching out to Kristin regarding her work please email at: [email protected]. She will be a guest artist on display at the Norwood Fine Art Gallery in May 2020 and currently has art displayed at the Attleboro Arts Museum. "There are present plenty of opportunities for local artists who want to feel connected to the community and who want to share their vision of the world," Capezio said.
