Boston Stained Glass Studio has an opening for a Stained Glass Restoration Trainee, and has a full time position available. We are looking for an applicant with excellent hand eye coordination, attention to detail, patience, hard work ethic, and a strong desire to learn new things. The work involves restoration of historic windows and their woodwork, masonry and/or wrought steel sash systems Full training will be provided, with an apprenticeship program also available to a dedicated person seeking advanced career development. Special consideration will be given to persons with prior experience and training in the arts, building trades, construction and any of the full range of artisanry skills. Applicant needs a valid driver’s license and be physically fit. Work sites for this position will be in the studio as well often in historic properties where the work area may be at ground level or accessed by scaffolding or aerial lift. Respect for the architecture and construction of the work site is paramount and courtesy must be extended at all times to the other trades present as well as the administrators of the work site.
