WALLINGFORD, CT — A Meriden resident is $100,000 richer after purchasing a winning lottery ticket in Wallingford earlier this week, according to the Connecticut Lottery. On October 27, Janice Abella, of Meriden, purchased a Pinball Wizard XXIII ticket from the Empire Wine & Liquor Superstore in Wallingford and won $100,000.
