Brother Chimp Brewing to D & G Brewing and Back Sunday, May 22. We will leave from Brother Chimp in North Aurora at 11 am. Join us on May 22 for another fun Most Awesome Brew Ride! We will repeat our first MABR but in reverse. Meet at Brother Chimp Brewery in North Aurora between 10am and 11am. Brother Chimp will be open in case anyone needs to use the facilities before their ride. Riders will head out in intervals starting at 11am. We will meander through a few subdivisions, crossing Randall at Oak Street then head down to the Fox River Bike Trail. Take the trail north into St. Charles, ride a few blocks of city streets then cross over the pedestrian bridge, through a parking lot and into D&G Brewing. Alex promises us Ream’s brats and refreshing beers for a mid-ride snack. We will enjoy Alex’s hospitality for a while then head back to Brother Chimp the way we came. Steve will have a food truck and live music so we can party and celebrate our great accomplishment. The route for this ride is simple. It’s about 22 miles with 18 miles mostly dedicated bike trail along the Fox River. Our route is paved and mostly flat, with a fairly long climb coming off the trail and into the subdivision heading back to Brother Chimp. I will zig-zag you through the subdivision to break up that climb a little. Please keep in mind that the Fox River Trail is one of the most popular trails in Illinois and can be crowded on a Sunday. Please be polite and follow good trail etiquette. Registration for our first 2022 Most Awesome Brew Ride is $20. For that fee you will get a planned and marked route, route maps and sag support. You will also get one free beer ticket from each brewery (additional beers and food purchases will be up to you), a water bottle and a $20 gift card from The Bike Rack. You can also purchase a ride t-shirt for $15. Registration is limited to 100 people so sign up now to reserve your space for a fun day of riding. Most Awesome Brew Ride is a Rain-or-Shine event. Dress according to the weather. The only conditions that will cause us to cancel the ride are lightening or hail. Hey, we ain’t no fair-weather bikers…or drinkers!
