Norwood Fire Crews Handle Kitchen Fire

NORWOOD, MA — Norwood fire crews put out a kitchen fire last week that spread through the walls of a home in town. The fire spread up to the second floor of a home on Maple Street. The fire broke out on Sunday afternoon in the kitchen of the home. Crews on scene quickly realized the fire was spreading in the walls to the second floor.Firefighters hooked hoses up to a nearby fire hydrant to extinguish the fire on the first floor. Fire crews used a second extended hose to extinguish the fire upstairs. The entire process took about an hour. Norwood fire investigators are working to determine a cause.
