On April 30th Spartan College will be hosting an open house from 10:00 pm -12:00 pm. Come by for a tour, networking, and a look at the labs! Our LA Area Campus is hosting an Open House. Walk the classrooms, examine equipment, look at the labs, and get more information about training at Spartan. This event is open to the public. About this event What should you expect at our open house Saturday, April 30th? Welcome + Tour Meet people in the aviation industry. Get to know instructors and meet other prospective students. The technical facilities at our Los Angeles area campus can accommodate approximately 500 students. Classrooms occupy in excess of 19,000 square feet and labs occupy an area of 40,000 square feet. Spartan College features an array of industry relevant training aids that include, but are not limited to: Reciprocating and turbine powerplantsVariety of carburetors, magnetos, turbochargers, and propellers Sheet metal shop containing brakes and shears Press and pneumatic drill Riveting equipmentShops used for the study of wood, fabric, fiberglass, plexiglass and composites Aircraft electricity labAdditional equipment used to study aircraft navigation, flight and communication instrumentsProgram Overview Find out more about our Aviation Maintenance and Aviation Electronics training as we talk about a day in the life of a tech student. At Spartan College Inglewood we offer 2 programs. The Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Diploma and an Associate degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT). Both programs are approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and are designed to teach students entry-level technical skills in airframe and powerplant. Successful completion qualifies graduates to take the written, oral and practical tests with the Federal Aviation Administration for the Mechanic’s Certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant Ratings.
