WAUWATOSA, WI — Wauwatosa police responded to a report of a missing child, several stolen cars and someone smashing windows of different businesses in police logs from April 15 to Thursday. Here are some notable calls in logs from the Wauwatosa Police Department. Child Reunited With Parents After Going Missing A child went missing from the Dave and Buster's on 2201 N. Mayfair Road around 3:52 p.m. on April 15, police logs showed. The child walked away alone and was listed as missing or a runaway. Parents reunited with the child on April 16 in the morning, Wauwatosa police spokesperson Abby Pavlik told Patch. They were safe and uninjured. Former Student Arrested After Hyundai Stolen Police arrested a teenager after they stole a Hyundai car from the 7900 block of Harwood Avenue and was seen driving recklessly in the parking lot of Longfellow Middle School on Thursday, police logs showed. Officers found the teen was a student and recovered the stolen car around 6 p.m. Someone stole a different Hyundai from 1300 Discovery Park around 7:37 a.m. on Wednesday, police logs showed. Officers from the Greenfield Police Department later arrested the thief and recovered the car. Residents reported six cars stolen over the week, including a rental car that wasn't returned, police logs showed. Three of the cars were Hyundai models while two were listed as Kia models. Windows Smashed Out Of Businesses Wauwatosa police arrested a 27-year-old man after he smashed windows at a McDonald's, a Dairy Queen and an O'Reilly's Auto Parts store around the 6100 to the 6600 block of W. North Avenue on April 15, police logs showed. Officers arrested a different man for criminal damage to property to Mt. Zion Lutheran Church at 12012 W. North Ave on April 18, police logs showed. It's not clear if there is a connection between the two incidents.
