MARBLEHEAD, MA —The Aspire Golf Classic to benefit North Shore infants and toddlers who have or are at risk of developmental delays is headed to Marblehead's Tedesco Country Club. The 4th annual Aspire Golf Classic will be on May 23 at Tedesco CC in a scramble-style, 18-hole tournament with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. All skill levels are welcome. Aspire Developmental Services' mission is to promote positive developmental outcomes for infants and toddlers across the North Shore who have, or are at risk of having, developmental delays due to established biological or environmental factors. Funds will also be used to bolster a range of educational programs and community support services for the families of these young children. "Over the past two years, the demand for our services has increased significantly," Aspire CEO Lori Russell said. "This at a time when the availability of such programs has been limited due to the pandemic and related health concerns. Many comparable programs have reduced their capacity or even discontinued services entirely." Aspire has expanded its services by 20 percent over the past year. Since the COVID-19 health crisis began, Aspire has added home therapeutic programs, added space in its early education center in Lynn and strengthened its network of community-based support services. Based in Lynn for more than 70 years, the organization also serves Danvers, Lynn, Lynnfield, Marblehead, Middleton, Nahant, Peabody, Salem, Saugus and Swampscott.
