Box of personal effects, trying to locate owner

Box of personal effects were dropped off to a couple in midtown. Its not clear why. The box has snow globes and written correspondence in it but no keys or car. Keys/car would ensure these things are returned without jeopardizing the health, safety or well being of others. This is a matter that deserves to be taken seriously and should not be imposed upon others in ways that put them at continued risk of harm or that they are stored/treated accordingly.
