Press release from Richland County School District Two: April 22, 2022 Two senior chief administrators in Richland School District Two are being recognized for their work. Senior Chief Human Resources Officer, Shawn Williams, has been named the 2021-2022 South Carolina Personnel Administrator of the Year. The South Carolina Association of School Administrators (SCASA) made the announcement at the 2022 Personnel Winter Conference. Williams will be officially recognized during SCASA's Innovative Ideas Institute taking place June 19-22, 2022 at Myrtle Beach. Williams is also in the running for the national 2022 Herb Salinger Personnel Administrator of the Year Award. Williams joined the Richland Two team in 2017 and oversees a staff of more than 20 and directs the district's overall human resources practices, policies and operations for 3,400 plus employees. Williams received a Bachelor of Science in human resources from Anderson University and earned a Master of Management from Southern Wesleyan University. She is a member of SCASA and has served in several leadership positions including the chair of the SCASA Personnel Group Professional Development and the Innovative Ideas Institute Committee. Senior Chief Officer for Finance and Operations, Dr. Harry Miley, received the Outstanding School Business Official award from the South Carolina Association of School Business Officials. The surprise announcement was made during the organization's Spring Conference. Dr. Miley started with Richland Two in 2013 as the Chief Financial Officer. In his current role he has added operations, planning, grants and the Richland Two Conference Center to his areas of responsibilities. Dr. Miley has over 30 years of experience in working with private companies and local, regional and state government entities. Dr. Miley earned his Ph.D. and undergraduate degrees in Economics from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.
