NORTON, MA — The Norton Police Department has be awarded re-accreditation status for meeting best practices by the Massachusetts Accreditation Commission.
The mission of the commission is to ensure that the delivery of police services within the state is at the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
The process consists of the establishment of a body of professional standards for police agencies and an assessment process by which agencies can be publicly recognized for meeting those standards, which are considered best practices.
