Hope and Friendship is creating "Kare Kits of assistance for Ukraine"

Convoy of Hope was so very appreciative of the hygiene bags we sent in February. In my communication with them I asked how we could help them help the refugees of Ukraine. They are in need of more hygiene bags- specifically the female and baby kits (see attachments). They are handing these bags out to all of the mothers and children that cross the border and seek refuge at the relief camps. On Saturday April 30th from 8-12noon we will gather in the Lemont Police Department Training Room and create "Kare Kits for Ukraine". If you wish to pre-pack bags or baby care boxes on your own please make sure they are specifically as the attached flyers state, then drop off to the bins at Starbucks; inside the Lemont Police Dept. vestibule; or to Blue the Trailblazer in my drive. Thank you to Lemont High School Junior Achievement Club who donated $500 towards the postage for these boxes. ***Items needed: bar soap; women's underwear, wash clothes, packaged sanitary napkins- regular and nighttime; size 2 or size 5 diapers; 6-10 oz baby lotion; 4-6 oz. diaper cream; 70-100 count baby wipes; baby washcloth; gallon size Ziploc bags; 6"H x 9"W x 12"L boxes Please drop off all donations of items or care bags and baby care kits to Lemont Police Dept, Starbucks, or Blue the Trailblazer by Friday April 29th.
