JOLIET, IL — A 29-year-old woman from Joliet is now in the Will County Jail after Joliet police say Anicia Allen used two knives to attack a man she knew. Now, Allen faces charges of domestic battery and aggravated assault, according to Joliet police. Around noon on Friday, Joliet squad cars were sent to the 300 block of North Broadway for a disturbance. "It was learned that a female was chasing a male down the street while brandishing knives," police spokesman Dwayne English announced. "During an argument, Allen had attacked (the man), causing cuts to his neck and body. The victim then fled the apartment, with Allen chasing him while carrying two knives." Officers spotted Allen carrying her two knives near North Broadway Street and Spring Street and ordered her to drop the knives, English noted. After she complied, Allen was then arrested and booked into the Will County Jail. The Joliet police arrest report did not indicate the victim was taken to the hospital for his knife wounds.
