Press release from the Wright County Government: April 22, 2022 The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has put out a news release dealing with cold-water boating. Air temperatures have been unseasonably cold and the same has been true with water temperatures. Ice-out periods came later than a typical year and cold water is always a danger to boaters and paddlers. The DNR points out that 30 percent of boating-related fatalities occur during cold-water period.
