BROOKLYN PARK, MN — Officials from the Osseo Area Schools system are scheduled to host a meeting Sunday night at Park Center Senior High to provide residents with details and answer their questions about the district's two funding requests. The district is asking voters to approve an increased operating levy that would provide the district with $8 million more each year for individualized learning, students' mental health needs and "other critical classroom supports." Officials are also seeking approval of an increase in the district's capital-project levy to upgrade classroom learning technology and infrastructure. If approved in November, the new levy for technology would generate about $11.1 million annually for Osseo Area Schools, officials said. Officials have said the district would need to cut about $4 million in spending each year if voters do not approve the referendums. 2nd Hy-Vee Grocery Store Not Coming To Maple Grove: Reports Residents are invited to join Sunday's meeting, which starts at 6 p.m. at Park Center Senior High.
