EDINA, MN — Edina crews are expected to spend several weeks flushing the city's hydrants for the start of spring, a project that could cause some residents to see rust-colored water coming from their faucets. The rust-colored water is safe to drink but could stain clothes, officials said, urging residents to check for signs of discoloration before doing laundry. Public Works employees will provide residents with a free iron-removing product, according to the city. Residents who see discolored water when they turn on their faucets should run the water until it is clear.
