NORTHBOROUGH, MA — Northborough's Algonquin Regional High School made it onto the list of the top 100 schools in the state. Niche.com released the list that includes both private and public elementary, middle and high schools. Algonquin ranked 90th on the list.
Algonquin Regional High School is a public school with 1,434 students in grades 9-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 13 to 1. According to state test scores, 93 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 97 percent in reading.
The school has a 98 percent graduation rate and an average SAT score of 1260, according to Niche.
The school was also highly rated by Niche in several categories including best public high school teachers in the state, best public high schools in the state and best college prep public high schools in the state.
