TRUMBULL, CT — The Bridgeport Board of Education is suing Stratford, Shelton and, Trumbull Monroe board of educations over educating students at its magnet schools.
The state gave Bridgeport permission to charge outside school districts $3,000 per year per student, according to the Connecticut Post.
Trumbull has already worked out a deal where costs will be offset by Bridgeport students attending the agricultural magnet school, according to a Trumbull Board of Education official.
Bridgeport alleges in the lawsuit that Stratford owes $1.58 million, Shelton $825,000, Monroe $183,00 and Trumbull $606,000.
