We have a sweet and well socialized male Husky weighing approximately 50 lbs. He is up-to-date with all immunizations, is crate trained for night time, is very socially adjusted to interact with other dogs of all sizes and doesn't (has never) chew shoes - unless it is a slipper that resembles a stuffed dog toy...! We brought him into our home as a puppy in 2020 when we lived in Florida. Unfortunately, we had to relocate from the East Coast to LA last year for work and are now facing another relocation. With the housing rental market so very tight, I fear it will be very difficult to find a new place to live that will accept a dog his size. That is the reason I need to find a new forever home for him.
He loves the dog park and his new family needs to be able to take him to the dog park no less than every other day. He is a non-aggressive dog and kind of goofy. Most all dogs get along with him, even dogs that are aggressive to most other dogs.
He is not destructive in the home but be aware that he sheds. He is, after all, a Husky. He is communicative but doesn't howl or bark unless he finds himself in trouble ;) If you like a talkative Husky, I'm certain you can train him to communicate more often.
Speaking of training, he knows hand signals for stay, sit etc. much better than the words.
I will require references however there is no re-homing fee. I will have his large crate, crate cover and a 6-month supply of Trifexis to send with him. He often likes to enter his crate during the day to rest but I never lock the crate until nighttime. We have a dog door that he uses during the day to ensure there are no accidents in the house. He likes the ability to go in and out throughout the day. If you have sliding glass doors, you are also welcome to have our dog door system that locks into place (at no charge).
