TRUMBULL, CT — Trumbull moved into the state's red alert zone for coronavirus infections last week. The town had 93 new cases last week and 54 cases the previous week, First Selectman Vicki Tesoro said in an update to residents. The town's positive test rate was 6.3 percent. There were no new Trumbull deaths related to the virus and most positive cases are people between the ages of 25 and 60 years old. "Currently, transmission of the virus in Trumbull appears to be from small social gatherings," Tesoro said. "This is consistent to what is happening throughout the state. I would like to remind all of our residents to remain vigilant in dealing with this virus. Please continue to practice social distancing and to wear a mask when you are unable to social distance indoors or outdoors." Trumbull Public Schools announced that it will move to full remote learning from Nov. 16 through Nov. 25. Trumbull Town Hall and other town buildings will remain open for the same hours of operation that have been in place for several months.
