TRUMBULL, CT — Three juveniles between the ages of 12 and 15-year-old were charged withstealing lawn signs in town, according to police.
A 12-year-old girl, her 15-year-old sister and a 15-year-old boy stole signs from lawns, brought them home and posted the collection on social media, said Lt. Brian Weir, police spokesman.
The residents who paid for the signs wanted to press charges against the people responsible for stealing the signs.
The juveniles admitted to stealing the signs and told officers they didn't agree with the movement that the signs were supporting, Weir said.
The 12-year-old was issued a juvenile summons for conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit trespassing.
The other two children were charged with 13 counts of sixth-degree larceny and eight counts of simple trespass. All were released to their parents.
