TRUMBULL, CT — A Bridgeport man was arrested for a 2018 robbery that took place at the Trumbull mall in 2018, according to police.
The robbery occurred at Champs on Oct. 3, 2018 after a man threatened an employee with a pocket knife, police said.
An employee was helping three men. One of the men put on a pair of $160 sneakers and put his old sneakers back in a box, police said. The employee realized what happened and asked the men to put the sneakers back.
Carlos Ramos, 37, turned around, pointed the pocket knife at the employee and told the employee "it's done they are ours," according to police. Ramos wasn't the one wearing the sneakers. The sneakers were valued at $160.
Ramos was charged Sept. 2 with second-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny after a court appearance.
Ramos was also charged with sixth-degree larceny for shoplifting a $379.99 TV from the Trumbull mall Target on Sept. 1, 2018, police said.
