TRUMBULL, CT — A Stratford man was arrested after he stole items from a customer's house, according to police. A Trumbull resident hired Jason Steinnagel, 44, to paint his house over the summer. The resident noticed that items went missing from his house during the week that Steinnagel was painting, police said. The items included a guitar, circular saw, jewelry and an antique brass cast iron table fan. The total value of the items was $2,455. The resident told police that Steinnagel admitted to stealing the guitar and pawning it. Detective located the guitar at a pawn shop. Steinnagel turned himself in on Oct. 22 and was charged with third-degree larceny.
