Guitarist / Bassist Available for Cover Band

Hello, I'm a 38 year old sculptor living and working in Venice Beach and am looking to find some locals to join / start a fun cover band with. I'm primarily a guitarist but will happily play bass if need be... pro level, but never did anything with it as other artist endeavors have called my name. My musical background is diverse, but I'm mostly interested in covers that get people dancing like remixing of EDM or straight up disco classics. The first thing I play when I pick up a guitar are blues licks. I was in a punk band in high school, played double bass and cello in the HS orchestra, and studied some classical guitar in college...eventually leading me to make Spanish style guitars/ukes and work in the classical guitar industry before getting into furniture design and ultimately sculpture. My main guitar influences starting out were Eddie Van Halen and Stevie Ray Vaughan. I grew up listening to a lot of doowop / 50's music while wrenchin on classic cars with my pops. My favorite band is Pink Floyd. I typically listen to Deadmau5/Martin Roth(ish) and Hans Zimmer style music while working and put on Milo Goes to College and retro Nintendo soundtracks when I want to reminisce about the good ol' days. I'm primarily looking for local, talented, reliable and normal (at least somewhat) people to share our musical gifts with. Hopefully you're looking for the same.
