OBRC is the industry steward of Oregon’s nationally recognized beverage container deposit program. We help keep Oregon beautiful by providing outstanding services to our partner distributors and retailers, and to the public for the recovery, reuse, and recycling of beverage containers. Summary The BottleDrop Express/DRC Technician II assists the BDE/DRC Project manager in the preparation, assembly, and installation of BottleDrop Express/DRC containers and rooms at OBRC facilities and onsite at store locations throughout Oregon. This position leads the maintenance and repair of containers and rooms and provides mentorship and training to persons in the BottleDrop Express/DRC Technician I position. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain BottleDrop Express/DRC containers and rooms and their components Perform routine repairs and maintenance of BottleDrop Express/DRC locations Modify ocean shipping containers to include framing, painting, door installation, and solar panel installation Assist the BDE/DRC Project Manager with maintaining a parts inventory and department workflow records General assembly of electronic components Provide training and assign work to Technician I Track daily activities according to the department protocol Additional duties as assigned Education/Experience H.S. Diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 4 years of mechanical, electrical, and/or maintenance experience; prior BDE/DRC experience preferred Requirements – Skills, Job Knowledge & Abilities Intermediate electronic, mechanical and maintenance skills Intermediate to advanced experience with basic hand tools (wrenches, screw drives, measuring devices), power tools (drills, saws, grinders) and welding equipment. Intermediate to advanced experience in assembling, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex issues and theories to internal and external business partners Ability to prioritize service needs, make appropriate judgement calls, multi-task, and work without direct supervision Ability to work multiple locations throughout the state Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, to accommodate business needs A current driver's license and acceptable driving history is required Apply for BDE/DRC Technician II- Clackamas (Req. 3447) using the link below:
