NORTH READING, MA — North Reading has 52 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in town, as of Tuesday. One person in town has died from the virus. Nineteen people in North Reading have recovered from the virus. The town is stressing residents practice social distancing and only leave their homes when necessary. Real estate and personal property taxes due May 1st are now due June 1st. The total number of cases in the state is 28,163. Gov. Charlie Baker said on Tuesday, about half the state's nearly 16,000 hospital beds are available for patients suffering from COVID-19.
