Description
I studied a technique with Doug Doppler and Alex Skolnick in Berkeley, most of which was handed to them by Joe Satriani.
You can learn to do varied solos around the neck, and get of the pentatonic "blues box" with your left hand.
No "tabs" or music reading required, you can learn fast if you practice. All times of day, weekday/ weekend, near Baker Rd. and Excelsior, or I can come over. First lesson free for a 6 pack of Guinness.
I teach metal and funk tricks, bar tricks, speed picking, flat picking, hammer-ons & pull-offs, amp pointers, chords, harmony, theory, and more for metal, punk, funk, country, blues, and rock; beginning slide, - NO POLKA. 6 string standard tuning, no drop D (but I know a guy) and most of all, none of this ridiculous "we play a half-step flat because it's easier to sing" - that is illogical, captain. The snake swallows its tail.
No kids. $40 for 40 minutes, first lesson half price. Write with questions, but it doesn't aid me to hear your story of how you started playing - I'm interested, but the history isn't useful to helping you - just come over and try and we can see how I click for you as teacher. If not, I know other teachers. Thanks!
