The Veronica Robles Cultural Center (VROCC) mission is to promote Latino arts and cultures as an engine for stronger communities and economic growth. Traditionally in Mexico, April 30th and start at 4pm to 7:30 pm and is dedicated to children and we want to continue this tradition here in Boston. We will invite East Boston families, as well as families from the greater Boston area for an afternoon of child focused activities, raffles, ice cream and more! This event will be the kickoff of regularly scheduled playdates. At the same time that we celebrate our children, we will use this event as a fundraiser for our upcoming summer program which will be free of charge for families. This program will run for a full morning from June 11th through August 5th and cater for children 8 to 12 years old. Our organization has secured a grant to run the program but we still need to raise $10,000 USD. The Children’s Day celebration will be one of our many efforts to reach this goal.
