Description

Deckhands and Engine room hands needed for local tugboat company. No hitch work, go home at night. Job requires the physical ability to lift, and haul heavy ropes. Must be able to climb ladders and gangways and work from floats and stages. Job consists of handling deck lines while docking, sailing and other vessel movements. Maintain the exterior and interior of the vessel by chipping, scaling, priming and painting as directed. Maintain the exterior and interior of the vessel in a clean and sanitary condition at all times. Work days are 0700-1530 with after hours call outs and occasional overnight operations. Applicant must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card, which requires an FBI background check. Applicant must be able to pass pre employment and random urinalysis as mandated by the U.S. Coast Guard. Applicant must have a working cell phone and reliable, 24 Hr. transportation.
