Automotive Brake Technician- Fix and overhaul brake systems on cars and trucks, within the quality and time guidelines of this shop, performs work outlined on a repair order or direction given from supervisor, raise and lower vehicle on hoist, removes wheels, measure brake components, analyze and remove, repair or replace defective brake components, machine rotors and drums, repair or replace other suspension items from hubs, to cv axles, shocks, struts, and other components. Sometimes you may be asked to do other mechanical repairs on a car, you may work independent or with another tech to perform the needed service on a car, min 40 hours a week, 8-4:30 m-f, some weekend work avail., must have own tools.
Order parts as needed, interface with customers, test drive customer cars, must have valid drivers lic. and be insurable.
