Ukraine president Zelenskyy is a former actor and comedian. Zelenskyy grew up as a native Russian speaker in Kryvyi Rih in central Ukraine. He insists that he really wants a negotiated settlement with Putin, a diplomatic solution to end the war. I wonder why he has not offered this diplomatic solution: He allows the residents of Donbas to vote whether to remain in Ukraine, or separate and join Russia, and he will not interfere with the results of that vote. In exchange, Russia will pull all of their troops out of Ukraine, ending this fiasco which is only feeding the US military industrial complex anyway.
