Folk Metal band seeking violin/fiddle player

Teshaleh is an established folk metal band based in Baltimore, MD. We are rebuilding after the pandemic and need a new violin/fiddle player. We released a 5 song EP in 2019 and have new material in the works, as well as upcoming gigs. We've played shows in MD, PA and DE, including Maryland Folk Metal Festival. We rehearse at Orion Studios in Baltimore. Our sound is a blend of traditional metal and medieval music. We've been described as a cross between Black Sabbath and Jethro Tull. We also wear medieval/fantasy garb on stage as part of our act. Our current lineup is two singers, guitar, bass, drums, keys, and medieval bagpipes. We need a violin player who can pick up music quickly, ability to read sheet music is a plus, but if you have a good ear, you should be able to pick the music up without sheet music. Familiarity with period and world music styles is also a plus. Previous experience playing in a band and performing live is highly desirable. You must have your own transportation and be available to rehearse at least once a month at Orion Studios. As mentioned, we wear costumes on stage and this is a hard requirement.
