This position exists to assign cleaning tasks to custodial staff; compile and complete time sheets; order and distribute cleaning supplies, materials and equipment; and respond to complaints about and requests for cleaning services by building users, to provide an atmosphere conducive to the total learning environment. In addition, the Custodian III may be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing facilities for the students, staff, faculty and customers of the Boulder Campus by sweeping, mopping and/or vacuuming floors, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms and stocking the rest rooms with needed supplies. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be Rotate through different specialist positions and perform duties on area floor plans. Perform area substitution and emergency clean up duties as needed. Plan, assign, coordinate and review custodial routine cleaning activities and adjust assignments to accommodate absences. Coordinate and implement recycling programs in campus buildings, cleaning of building entry ways, and snow removal activities. Distribute, collect, and order keys for custodians. Schedule equipment for repairs and review and recommend equipment and materials purchases. Review, order, and distribute supplies for custodians and building users. Provide updated information on room use type and changes in floor surface. Meet with building users and maintenance personnel regarding custodial activities and building repairs. Safety Duties Respond to emergencies. Engage employees in safety culture by performing employee engagements to ensure adherence to standard methodologies regarding hazard controls, written policies and procedures, and ensuring organizational representation on Safety Committee. Participate in employee safety observation program by performing observations as prescribed or manager approved alternative. Perform initial investigation on employee accidents, incidents, and occupational illnesses. Ensure safety and operational training is completed and make suggestions on how to improve safety. Notice and report possible safety hazards, mistakes, accidents and/or procedural violations in a timely manner. Supervisory Duties Prepare and review with employees their yearly performance management plans. Conduct coaching sessions and prepare ongoing continued education and training opportunities for employees. Advise employees of current policies, procedures, problems, and departmental initiatives. Record employee time in FAMIS daily. Schedule and plan ahead for employee time-off. Prepare documentation for verbal, corrective and/or disciplinary actions, and recommend type of action. Meet and review with manager the status of team activities. Prepare and conduct program presentations to management group. Learn About Our Referral Program Here: The work schedule is Monday through Thursday 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm and Friday 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm. This position will need to attend weekly supervisor meetings on Wednesday from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm. This position may be required to work alternate shifts; for example, 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM or 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM Tuesday through Saturday. This is an in-person position. What We Require Two years of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position. Must be a Colorado resident to apply. Must have a valid Colorado driver's license. What You Will Need Computer skills (familiar with email, outlook/teams calendar, basic Office programs such as Word, Excel). Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. What We Would Like You to Have Supervisory experience (manager, supervisor or lead). Custodial experience within a school or higher ed environment. Familiarity with FAMIS is preferred.
